    The Department of Linguistics at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in collaboration with the Center for South Asian and Middle Eastern Studies , Center for African Studies, CIBER, Center for Global Studies, European Union Center and REEEC is pleased to host the 7th Summer Institute for the Languages of the Muslim World in summer 2015 (June 15 - August 8, 2015). SILMW 2015 is offering intensive courses in a variety of Muslim world languages, including Arabic, Persian, Swahili, Turkish, Urdu, and Wolof.     GLBL 298: Cultural Diversity is offered for the Fall/WB 2013 with 22 participants. In addition to the second 8 weeks on campus, the program will take place in Istanbul between December 26, 2013 and January 15, 2014 to study cultural diversity in Modern Turkey. This is going to be the 8th short term study abroad program to Istanbul focusing of Turkish culture from a global perspective.
