Visiting Project Coordinator, Family Resiliency Center

The Visiting Project Coordinator will coordinate two projects based at the Family

Resiliency Center. The first is an NIH funded project aimed at promoting medical

adherence in children with asthma. Primary care based tailored intervention focuses

on family routines. The second is an evaluation of the BackPack Program, a

weekend feeding program for school-aged children.


The position is a temporary Academic Professional position, 75%, 12 month.

Renewal is subject to continuation of funding. Position may develop into 100% or

move to permanent if funds become available depending on the needs of the

Qualifications: Master's degree in psychology, human development, social work,

public health, or related field is required. Two years of University-based research

public health, or related field is required. Two years of University-based research

experience is required. Strong organizational and coordination skills, ability to

coordinate and work with multiple investigator teams, experience in managing and

administering project budgets are also required. Must have familiarity with Word,

Excel, Access, and SSPS.


Duties: Serve as liaison and coordinator of Family Routines Intervention to be

housed at the Carle Pediatric Pulmonary Clinic and other community partners.

Coordinate and maintain database of Family Routine Intervention including initial

screening of eligible participants, monitoring adherence to prescribed protocols, three

and six month follow ups to intervention administered by respiratory therapist. Serve

as liaison to schools participating in the BackPack Program Evaluation, Eastern

Illinois Foodbank staff, and Family Resiliency Center research staff. Coordinate

recruitment and data collection for BackPack Program Evaluation including consent,

survey, school administrative data, and focus groups. Maintain database of

BackPack Program Evaluation participants, data, and other project information.

Conduct literature reviews. Assist in manuscript preparations. Assist in grant

preparations. Coordinate and supervise undergraduate student project work on the

FAAM/BackPack project.


Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
