Join the Family Resiliency Center in a Champaign Community Dialogue on the Needs on Young Children
The Family Resiliency Center, United Way of Champaign County, Birth to Six Council, ACCESS Initiative and Voices for Illinois Children invite you to participate in a Champaign County community dialogue on the needs of young children, birth to age eight on Monday, November 14, 2011 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Champaign Public Library.
This event presents an opportunity to help inform and shape ideas for policies that affect children (from birth through age 8) and families. Input will be used to further develop a shared policy agenda and raise public awareness in ways that help produce positive outcomes for young children and their families.
Registration is limited and by invitation only. Please send any questions to Jessica Roberts at 312-516-5563 or by emailing at jroberts (at) voices4kids (dot) org.
The Family Resiliency Center partnered with Voices for Illinois Children to release the report "Great at Eight: Investing in the Whole Child from Birth to Eigh" back in March, 2011. The report provides a detailed look at data that showcases the quality of life for children throughout the state. The 2011 report focused on factors that ensure that children are able to succeed in school.
