STRONG Kids Project Featured in Scientific American!
The Family Resiliency Center's STRONG Kids Research Project is currently featured on Scientific American's Website!
Dr. Kristen Harrison, a former faculty member in the University of Illinois' Department of Communication and now faculty at University of Michigan's Department of Communications Studies, was interviewed for the article. Dr. Harrison is a founding member of the STRONG Kids research project, and continues to play an important role in the program's success.
The article discusses the multiple factors that contribue to the childhood obesity epidemic, and raises awareness to the complexities in identifying solutions that can tackle this issue in an interdisciplinary manner.
